Before going on with the main topic of this essay, we should remember that storytelling is the act of telling a story normally through oral speech . But with nowadays` technological advances, we can do it through many ways. TV and social networks help us to tell a story to a public that we can not have in front of us. But, that is also a disadvantage because people who listen to somebody telling a story through TV can easily lose the interest of what she or he (the speaker) is saying and turn off the TV and go away. In this essay, I will try to make people know the importance of telling a story presently with a public that can really see you, and undertand what the speaker means.
Everytime when someone tells a story that person tries to keep people`s attention, and if the story is good and catches the attention of the audience, they will be able to remember it for a long time, and they will also be able to tell the story to others and transmit the same message that the story wants to share.
Since stories are memorable, they are easy to retell in the future. So, if you tell to your audience a good story, they will remember it, and communicate the details of the message or messages that you mean to share in your speech. In that way, the story will not be lost with the pass of the time, and it also will be modified to transmit the same message or another ones.
A good message in a good story can make people change their minds or they perspective about life or something (like when people talk about environmental issues). Good listeners know how to recognize a good story, it does not matter their ages, they can also find a hidden message in a story if they know how to listen to the person, and take actions to get a better world, better humans and better societies.
This is what a story can do on people only if they are well listened. People can transmit the message to the following generation. Even indigenous tell stories to their people in order to preserve the environment in which they live in, and that has made that their tradition do not get lost with the pass of the time.

I personally believe that through storytelling leyends are created because when the stories are so memorable people keep telling the same thing to others, even adding some things which could or would make a more interesting story. without a doubt this is a great tool for teachers if they use it correctly and with creativity, they can also make their students work with it therefore trying to improve, encourage and developed their skill and capacities to produce a story with their personal message about any topic that can contain or talk about a personal concern related to their society or made to cause reflexion in the reader or listener.
ResponderEliminarWith goog, interesting and productive stories people can get a lot of things in the listeners´ world, not only a change of maind or a reflexion, you can become the listeners an inventors of their own stories and created a new generation of storitelling users and if nowadays we combine the storitelling with multimedia is an obligation to make this question: with what else we can combine it in the future? it stay open the number of posibilities to use this tool in educative projects.
ResponderEliminarThis is very important because as we know it is tradition all over the world, even before the written word, people would memorize elaborate stories full of morals that shaped cultures for generations, so what I'm trying to say is that we are wired for communicating through and learning from stories. Also, in telling a story, it opens new windows for much needed feedback and advice....when sharing startup challenges it encourages a bonding with other business persons in the field as you listen to their story!
ResponderEliminarI think that is really useful that we can be able to improve our art Of Storytelling because as humans we all have a basic need to share stories. Though stories we can organize experiences, learn and record important happenings. As common forms of discourse, and vastly used in every single culture, stories are of great interest and significance to all of us, so we can take advanteges of it and lean and teach with them.
ResponderEliminarAlso, one of the things that we should master if we are ever going to use storytelling in the future, is how to tell a story in a good way. We have to catch people's attention through our voice and body language (something that is not very easy) and maybe we can also use some resources as puppets and pictures. Storytelling is a great way to pass on values in life, especially when we are telling the stories to little children, if the story is good, it will be something that will stick with them for a long time.
ResponderEliminar"people who listen to somebody telling a story through TV can easily lose the interest" I disagree because there are tv programs for children and I have seen kids paying attention to what the speaker is saying. In fact, the discovery channel and the history channel often tell stories about the past and I must say, they are very interesting. But sometimes when we are listening at someone, we might get distracted so it depends on who is telling it and how is telling the story.
ResponderEliminarcertainly all depends on the resources we use to nourish us with new knowledge
